Merry Sleepy Christmas

It's Christmas week, but something doesn't feel like Christmas. It's just ... I don't know, weird. With the economy and everybody seeming kind out of it, plus not really having any money myself, I'd rather just sleep the whole day. And that would be a wonderful gift -- everybody just leave me alone so I can sleep for a freakin' day.

If this rain was snow

Richmond and I guess much of the rest of Virginia is getting crazy amounts of rain today. Now, if all this freakin' rain was snow, we'd have a couple of feet. That's all I'm asking for this winter is one snowfall like that. 1996 was a long damn time ago Mother Nature, so hook me up!

Lava lamp or helping the poor?

Imagine if everyone in the office took their $5 for a gift exchange and did something with it? We could've provided many meals to the poor. Instead, I'm stuck with a cheap ass fake lava lamp. Don't get me wrong -- it looks great on my desk -- but given the economy, aren't there better things to spend money on? We could have had just as much fun playing a game of cards or something.

Biatches and their roommies

Why do people in their mid-20s insist on having roommates in a city like Richmond, where it truly is easy to find a “cheap” place to live on your own if you have a job? For the past hour, all I have heard is two of my co-workers talk about their roommate issues. Get a place of your own and worry about yourself.

On top of that, a co-worker in her late 40s, maybe early 50s, has spent much of the week on the phone ordering Christmas presents and talking about the upcoming weekend.

For those of us actually working, we’re getting less done because we have to hear all this. I’m getting book ideas the more I listen …

Yes, it did snow in November

So I was looking at this neglected blog, and a few months ago I asked the simple question: Will we have snow in November? While I thought I was joking the answer is YES. We did have snow in November.

It wasn't much, but flakes falling and accumulation on my deck counts! And we had snow this past weekend … and it's supposed to be in the mid-60s on Wednesday and back to mid-30s by Thursday. How ridiculous is that?

What?!?

Oh man, I forgot about this blog. I apologize to my loyal non-readers who have wondering where I've been for the past four months. I'll try my best to get back to regular blogging. It's the holidays, so you know I have something to talk about, or complain about!!
